Saving and transferring iiNet group email accounts

iiNet are ceasing email operations end of September. For those of you with ANY iiNet group email addresses, including @iinet, @westnet, @internode, @westnet, @ozemail, @aapt and @netspace addresses, these can be saved and transferred for FREE.

iiNet are using TheMessagingCompany to service these addresses from now on, and the transfer and first 12 months of service will be covered by them. It’s free to do, just fill out the form. PS, the one time code they send you takes about 7 minutes to come through!

The link to fill out the transfer request is here…

The ISP are covering the cost of the transfer, as well as the first year. TheMessagingCompany have not yet announced pricing [if any] after the first year. There is expected to be a small charge for continued hosting.

As always, it’s recommended to use a web-based, rather than a ISP-based email address in order to avoid issues such as this, and allow that address to receive the old ISP-based email messages!
